PETERSBURG DEPARTMENT OF STEKLOV INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS
Third Russian-German Geometry Meeting |
(1912-1999) |
First AnnouncementDear Colleagues,We are organizing the Third Russian-German Geometry Meeting dedicated to the 95th-anniversary of A.D.Alexandrov. The Meeting will be held in the framework of the Mathematical Congress on the occasion of the Leonhard Euler tercentenary. The Meeting is to be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute and the Steklov Institute (St.Petersburg, Russia), June 18-23, 2007. We expect that geometers from many countries will participate in the Meeting. The third week of June is the best season (peak of the White Nights) in St. Petersburg. However St. Petersburg is an expensive city, especially that period. The registration fee is 120 EURO. It covers invitation and organizational costs, access to all the conference sessions and some extras. Accompanying persons are expected to pay one quarter of the fee. Unfortunately, the Euler Institute can not cover any your expenses. The fee of participants from Russia (and likely from FSU) will be partially covered by our grants. If you are interested in attending the conference please reply by e-mail to geometry@imi.ras.ru so that we can add your name to the list of possible participants and send you further information. On behalf of the Organizing Committee W. Ballmann, Yu. D. Burago, Yu. G. Reshetnyak
