The conference dedicated to 90 anniversary of the prominent Russian mathematician Yuri V. Linnik (1915-1972) will be held in the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Institute of Mathematics and in the Euler International Mathematical Institute. This conference will be devoted to recent achievements in branches of mathematics close to Linnik's interests. Two parallel sections are supposed:
The language of the conferece is English. The conference fee is 150 euro.

We invite to participate the pupils and the followers of Yu.V.Linnik, but we ask to take into account that the Euler Institute has the restricted premises, and to our deep regret we has no possiblity to accept all submissions. We shall confirm/decline the submissions not later than March 15, 2005. Please submit your abstract to
Unfortunately we can not provide any financial support to participants. The journal Zapiski nauchnyh seminarov Sankt-Peterburgskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta (POMI) has accepted to publish a special issue with number theory papers dedicated to Linnik's anniversary (in Russian and in English). We invite you to participate in this volume. Manuscripts will be accepted until March 1, 2005. They have to be sent to: Prof. A.Vinogradov, 27, Fontanka, St. Petersburg 191023, RUSSIA or to electronic address linnik90@imi.ras.ru in AmsTeX, LaTeX formats. Manuscripts will be refereed. English translation of the volume will be published in Journal of Mathematical Sciences, Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers. The probability theory and mathematical statistics papers to be published in the journal Zapiski nauchnyh seminarov Sankt-Peterburgskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta (POMI) can be sent to Linnik_prob@pdmi.ras.ru in AmsTeX or LaTeX formats. |
