Prof. Ruediger Goebel

I stayed at the end of October in your institution in order to discuss research with Professor Yakovlev and his collaborators, also meeting Prof. Alexander Fomin from Moscow who arranged to come to St. Peterburg at this occasion. We enjoyed the nice atmosphere, the very warm hospitality of our Russian host, the scientific program as well as - and here I am also speaking in the name of my wife - the cultural activities in St. Petersburg. To both of us it is very clear that St. Petersburg is the Venice of the East building up again on its traditional history. I am looking foreward to come back!
