WAVELETS AND SPLINES

The international conference "Wavelets and Splines" will be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute.

We definitely hope that the time spent at the conference will be not only useful for scientific exchanges, but also pleasant due to the historical places and cultural treasures of St. Petersburg in the most impressing time of a year - midnight sun. The conference will be held right after a great city celebration dedicated to the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.

The program includes plenary 60- and 45-minutes lectures, 20-minutes presentation and posters. The authors are supposed to submit the electronic copy of the abstract which should reach the Organizing Committee before May, 1, 2003. The abstract should be LaTeX-formatted in the style Article. It should contain a title, names of the authors, an official address and e-mail address and should not exceed one page.

The registration fee is 50 USD. For participants working in CIS-countries the registration fee will be completely covered by Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Information on other prices (concerning accommodation, official invitation, banquet and excursions) will be given in the second announcement.

The conference is considered as a satellite event to the International conference "KOLMOGOROV AND CONTEMPORARY MATHEMATICS", June 16-21, 2003, Moscow, Russia.

Another satellite event is the WORKSHOP ON NONLINEAR APPROXIMATIONS IN NUMERICAL ANALYSIS, June 22-25, 2003, Moscow, Russia.

For those who intend to participate in all three events, we will try to organize a cultural program during the period from June, 26 to July, 2.
