The conference will take place at the Euler
International Mathematical
Institute (EIMI), which is a part of
St.Petersburg Department of
V.A.Steklov Mathematical Institute (PDMI or
POMI) from 1996.

The Openings ceremony
will take place on Monday, June 17, at 9:30
at the Petersburg Department
of Steklov Institute.

HOW
TO REACH US
Those who was promised to be picked up at the airport will be
waiting
at the hall next after the
custom
line. You will recognize our person(s)
by a poster "Euler IMI".
In
the opposite case you could take bus No.13 from the airport
Pulkovo II to
metro station "Moskovskaya".
The Euler Institute is about
15-20 minutes by foot to metro station
"Petrogradskaya". To
reach EIMI from metro "Petrogradskaya" you can
also take
trolley-bus No. 34 (the second stop), or minibus No. 46,
175, 252, 298
(you should ask to stop before the
Kamennoostrovskii
most(bridge)).
ACCOMODATION
For
the persons who asked for this in the registration form, rooms have been
reserved
at the hotels of the city: LDM, Sovetskaya, Nord and private
apartments.
Notice
that usual practice in our hotels is payment 'in advance'. Please,
be
ready to pay during first two days of your staying.

You
could reach the LDM hotel from metro "Petrogradskaya", bus No. 10
or 45. The LDM Hotel is in 5-10 minutes by foot to the Euler
Institute.
Unfortunately the hotel does not accept the credit cards,
but it
is not hard to get a cash using cash-machine (there is one in the
hall near the
reception) or at the banks. You should pay for the
hotel in rubles (and at
any other place too, except the shops and
restaurants accepting the credit
cards). Usually VISA and Master
cards are accepted.

CURRENCY
EXCHANGE
To exchange the currency is not a hard task, there are many
exchange
offices around the city, but be careful and do not exchange
your
currency NEAR offices.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
Registration
desk will be open on June 16 at the Euler Institute from
10:00 till
16:00.
The participants who plan to arrive later may register before the
Opening
ceremony or during the breaks.
The registration fee is 100
USD per participant (without meals) and 150 USD
(with meals). The fee for
accompanying persons is $30 per person.
For the participants working in
the NIS countries the fee mainly is covered
by the organizing
committee.
The other participants pay the fee at the registration desk in
cash.
MEALS
The lunches and dinners will be served
for participants who pay meals fee.
The time and place will be announced
later.
Also, coffee and tea will be available at the conference
place (free of
charge).
LECTURES
The schedule of the
plenary lectures (50 min.) will be presented at our
web-page. Shorter
talks (40 min and 20 min) will be in the afternoon.
The timetable will be
posted on the web-page shortly.
You can use the blackboards and projector for transparencies.
Monday-Saturday:
First
plenary lecture 9:30 --10:20
Second plenary lecture 10:40 --11:30
Third
plenary lecture 11:50 --12:40
Afternoon sessions start at 15:30 on
Monday and Tuesday and
at 15:00 on Thursday, Friday. There is no afternoon sessions on
Wednesday
and Saturday.
Afternoon sessions will work in two sections and four
subsections.
On Monday and
Tuesday:
1-st sectional talk 15:30
-- 16:10,
2-d sectional talk
16:20 -- 17:00,
1-st subsection talk 17:10 -- 17:30,
2-d
subsection talk 17:40 -- 18:00,
3-d
subsection talk 18:10 -- 18:30.
On
Thursday, Friday all afternoon talks will be a half hour earlier.
It is
planned an excursion and a banquet on Wednesday afternoon.
PUBLIC
TRANSPORT
In metro you must buy tokens. One token costs 6 rubles and
allows you to make one journey in metro with unlimited number
of
changes and unlimited time.
In municipal buses (numbers without
letters T or K), trams and
trolley-buses you must pay to a
ticket-collector. One ticket
costs 5 rubles.
In commercial
buses (marked by letters T or K)
you must also pay to a ticket-collector,
while in minibuses
you pay to a driver. The price (usually 10-12
rubles)
depends on destination. It is indicated usually at the
entrance.
Please take into account that minibus can stop at any
convenient
place but you should ask for it in advance.
Please
be very careful with your luggage, bags, purses,
credit cards, etc.,
especially in the transport and in the shops!

On the streets and near metro stations you can find a lot of
phones.
There are several types of them. You can pay either by metro tokens,
or
coins, or phone cards (it depends on the phone). You can
buy phone cards
at metro stations.
WHEATHER
The weather is
changeable. Average temperature of June is about 12-15 C.
This means that
it is warmer in the day time. However, large deviations
from the average
occur, and it may or may not be cold or warm in June
with equal
probability. It may be rainy.
